Meet The Chef
Boussaina was coined the nickname Bim Bim when she decided to create a facebook group as a way to leave her legacy behind to her children while also teaching those who love her cooking.
How the book came to be
She earned the nickname Bim Bim when she created a Facebook group as a way to preserve her culinary legacy for her children, and to teach the many people who had come to love her cooking. For years she posted her dishes there, one at a time, to a growing audience of family and friends.
After years of lovingly posting those dishes online, it was time to gather her treasured recipes and transform them into a cookbook — so that Bim Bim’s flavours, traditions and spirit would live on for generations to come. This site is that collection, brought online.
How she cooks
Many of the recipes here are deliberately free-form. Quantities are given where Bim Bim gives them, and left to taste where she leaves them to taste. That is how she cooks, and it is how the book is written.
Each recipe keeps her own wording, her ingredient groupings, and the notes she added at the end — the small asides that tell you what actually matters in the dish.
What you’ll find here
All 148 recipes from the book, organised the way the book is: Egyptian Classics at its heart, then Chicken, Meat, Seafood, Soups, Salads, Sides & Sauces and Desserts.
Enjoy, and happy cooking.
